Start with the communication need
Is the project about introducing a product, refreshing a brand identity or producing regular social content? Wanting more visibility is a starting point. Naming the product, audience and message makes that objective actionable.
Share your existing logo, identity files, product information and previous images. Distinguishing reusable material from work that needs producing helps define the design and photography scope.
List deliverables and their uses
Video length alone does not define a deliverable. Websites, vertical social content, in-store screens and advertising may require different frames and formats. For photography, specify products, angles and intended uses. For brand design, discuss packaging, menus and printed applications alongside the logo.
Agree on timing and decisions
A shoot date and a publication date are different milestones. Allow time for preparation, production, editing or design, feedback and delivery. Identify who approves the work and how comments will be collected. Discuss budget and scope early rather than assuming one price fits every project.
